DAY 1: Down Under Cruise & Dive - OSPREY V
Departure: Check in at the Reef Fleet Terminal at 7:30am at Down Under Cruise & Dive counter, commence boarding at 8:00am, vessel departs at 8:30am. This trip returns to Cairns at 5:00pm.
Osprey V offers a truly memorable reef experience to the true Outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. This vessel caters to nervous, first time Snorkellers, Introductory Divers as well as the more experienced Certified Diver.

* Visit 2 spectacular reef locations - Reefs visited at the Great Barrier Outer Reef are, Norman, Saxon, Hastings and Michaelmas Reef and are chosen by the skipper on the day of travel to ensure the best protection and underwater visibility according to prevailing weather conditions.

Snorkel “scooters” are now available for hire onboard the Osprey V Reef Cruise. The scooters are designed for snorkellers looking for a new and exciting experience on the reef. Moving at approx. 8-10km/hr they make barely any noise and save energy levels, resulting in a safe and pleasurable time in the ocean. The hire fee for the scooter is an additional cost / reef (1/2 day hire) which includes a slimline safety vest. This option can now be pre-booked, or can be purchased on the day of travel subject to availability. Suitable for ages 14yrs and above.
To experience the reef from a different perspective, why not take a Helicopter flight over Hastings Reef ! This is available from the Outer Reef Heli pad on the day, due to limited seats please pre book your flight.
After completing your day on the Great Barrier Reef, kick back and relax on deck as the gang entertain you on the trip home, with music, fun and laughter as well as being served a complimentary glass of wine and cheese, fruit platter!

Skyrail is the World’s Most Beautiful Rainforest Experience…
The Skyrail experience, spanning 7.5kms over pristine rainforest, allows you to explore the wonders of an ancient tropical rainforest and learn about one of the most botanically fascinating and diverse areas on earth.
Gliding just metres above the rainforest canopy in comfortable 6 person gondola cabins, the Skyrail journey immerses you in an intimate rainforest experience where you’ll see, hear, smell and become part of the tropical rainforest environment.
Your Skyrail experience will commence or conclude at either the Caravonica or Kuranda, depending on your direction of travel.
Caravonica Terminal: Skyrail’s Caravonica Terminal is located just 15 minutes from Cairns and 50 minutes from Port Douglas and provides a convenient embarkation or disembarkation point and are conveniently serviced by regular coach transfer pick-ups. Self-drive passengers will also find Skyrail's location easily accessible.
Red Peak Station: Your gondola will descend through the canopy layers and take you deep in the forest. Complimentary guided boardwalk tours are available throughout the day.
Barron Falls Station: On approach to Barron Falls Station you will enjoy spectacular views of the Barron Gorge, a deep chasm lined with dense rainforest vegetation and a state-of-the-art Rainforest Interpretation Centre.
Kuranda: From Barron Falls, your Skyrail experience continues through the mountains before gliding over the mighty Barron River and arriving at Skyrail’s Kuranda Terminal. Skyrail’s Kuranda Terminal is located a short walk from the famous
Kuranda Markets: The 'Original' Kuranda Markets are open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Sunday. The Kuranda Heritage Markets are open 7 days a week.
Departures: A one-way Skyrail Experience will take approximately 90 minutes to complete and for a return experience you should allow 2½ hours. You can spend as much time at you like at Skyrail’s rainforest mid-stations enjoying the facilities and rainforest atmosphere.
Plan to spend approximately 20-30 minutes.
Kuranda Scenic Railway Upgrade:
The famous Kuranda Scenic Railway was built over 100 years ago and winds its way through the tropical mountain ranges between Cairns and Kuranda. The Train departs Freshwater 8:45am or 9:45am and departs from Kuranda at 2pm or 3:30pm. Allow 1.5 hours for this journey.
