Day 1:  Check into your Studio Apartment at Blue Lagoon, Trinity Beach

Blue Lagoon Resort offers 4.5 star accommodation designed and furnished with the topics in mind.  This Lagoon-front Resort offers modern Studios which are fantastic for a couples getaway, all of which are superbly equipped and well appointed.  They feature a king size bed, kitchenette including fridge, bench top hotplate & microwave oven, an ensuite bathroom and generous balcony overlooking the tropical gardens, lagoon or pools. 

Day 2:  Reef Cruise to Upolo Cay with Ocean Freedom

Your day begins with your pick up from Trinity Beach at 07:00am.  Arrive at the Marina and board the boat in time to enjoy Danish pastries, fruit, morning tea and coffee in the comfortable lounge area.  This is then followed by an introductory safety brief before kicking back and enjoying the one hour cruise to Upolu Cay.  

Upolu Cay is a naturally formed coral cay situated 30 kilometres from Cairns on the Great Barrier Reef and is the perfect location with protected, shallow waters from which to explore the reef snorkeling and scuba diving.

As the skipper navigates Luggers Pass, Upolu Cay and the Great Barrier Reef come into view. Paradise! Make fresh footprints in the beautiful coral sand, swim, snorkel and scuba dive in the turquoise waters. Ocean Freedom offers certified dive guides and snorkel tours as well as top quality snorkel equipment at no extra cost.  Snorkelling is a great way to experience the reef also. Friendly crew will assist snorkellers of all abilities to ensure everyone enjoys this great activity.

Feast on a delicious tropical smorgasbord lunch while leisurely cruising to the second location of the day. The protected waters of the surrounding Upolu Reef offers numerous exciting sites for an afternoon of water activities. The reef abounds with turtles, parrot fish, wrasse and of course clown fish.

Following a full 6 hours on the Great Barrier Reef, top off your day with a tropical afternoon tea (fruit, cheese and cake). Perfect end to a perfect day.
