DAY ONE: Kuranda Scenic Rail & Skyrail

Enjoy a leisurely start to the day before boarding your coach, which will transfer you from your accommodation to the delightful Freshwater Station to board the famous Kuranda Scenic Rail.

Upon arrival in Kuranda, the day is yours to experience the charm and colour of the village, including the many stalls and shops, giving you the opportunity to sample and experience much of the local art and handicraft. Make sure you visit the incredible Birdworld Kuranda (over 500 free flying birds!!)

At your scheduled time, your return to Cairns is aboard the “award winning” Skyrail, providing a unique insight into the rainforest canopy and spectacular views of the Coral Sea.

Your rainforest experience ends at Caravonica Lakes where your coach is waiting to transfer you back to your accommodation.

DAY TWO: Cape Tribulation, Daintree & Mossman Gorge

A fantastic day exploring the famous World Heritage rainforest of Daintree & Cape Tribulation awaits you today.

After being collected from your hotel, your first treat heading north is the spectacular coastal views as we wind your way along one of the world’s most scenic roads, the Captain Cook Highway.

After arriving in Daintree and crossing this famous river by ferry, you will stop at the Daintree Discovery Centre for morning tea and a guided tour. Your informative guide will provide you with many interesting facts about this ancient rainforest, and you have a chance to get a bird’s eye view from the Rainforest Canopy Tower.

Time then to continue north to Cape Tribulation beach, where you have a chance to walk along this beautiful beach or perhaps take the boardwalk.

After re-boarding, it’s just a short trip to the lunch stop which is in a rainforest setting.

The famous Daintree River is the next stop, where you will board the Crocodile Express for a river cruise – make sure you keep an eye out for the elusive saltwater crocodile and other wildlife that inhabits this area!

After an enjoyable cruise, start your return journey back to Cairns, stopping enroute at the beautiful Mossman Gorge for a brief walk in this tranquil setting, then continuing to your accommodation with plenty of fond memories of this day.

Your day begins with a scenic drive up the Gillies Range, overlooking the breathtaking beauty of the Mulgrave Valley. Enjoy a delicious Devonshire Tea at Lake Barrine Teahouse before embarking on the informative wildlife cruise on Lake Barrine and view the now extinct volcano crater lake.

The infamous Giant Curtain Fig Tree will inspire a photograph or two, before visiting the picturesque Millaa Millaa Falls, one of the most renowned waterfalls in Australia.

After enjoying delicious lunch at picturesque Mungalli Falls, continue down the Palmerston Highway stopping enroute at Crawford's Lookout.

Inspiring Paronella Park is the next stop where you will enjoy a guided tour of the Spanish Castle ruins set in the rainforest by Mena Creek Falls. This is an amazing piece of history, which has experienced its fair share of misfortunes, and Cyclone Larry certainly adds to the amazing history this park has been through.

After visiting Paronella Park, the last stop on the way back to Cairns will be Babinda Boulders, part of the Woorooneran National Park, and shrouded with Aboriginal myth.

Arrive back in Cairns at 6pm approx when you are returned to your accommodation.
