Day One: Outer Barrier Reef Cruise - Osprey V

The first day takes you to two outer reef locations on the Great Barrier Reef onboard Osprey V.

Osprey is a large, modern sleek vessel, cruising at high speed it provides a superior and comfortable ride in all weather conditions.

Professional, friendly and attentive staff onboard Osprey V, ensures a safe and enjoyable fun-filled experience, with guided snorkelling tours, all snorkelling equipment and tuition, Glass Bottom Boat coral viewing tour as well as a BBQ Lunch including a selection of delicious, fresh local produce.

Reefs frequently visited are, Norman, Saxon, Hastings and Michaelmas Reef. They are chosen by the skipper on the day of travel to ensure the best protection and underwater visibility according to prevailing weather conditions.

This vessel caters to nervous, first time Snorkellers, Introductory Divers as well as the more experienced Certified Diver.

Snorkel “scooters” are now available for hire onboard the Osprey V Reef Cruise.  The scooters are designed for snorkellers looking for a new and exciting experience on the reef.  Moving at approx. 8-10km/hr they make barely any noise and save energy levels, resulting in a safe and pleasurable time in the ocean.  The hire fee for  the scooter is an additional cost / reef (1/2 day hire) which includes a slimline safety vest.  This option can now be pre-booked, or can be purchased on the day of travel subject to availability.  Suitable for ages 14yrs and above.

After completing your day on the Great Barrier Reef, kick back and relax on deck as Miles and the gang entertain you on the trip home, with music, fun and laughter as well as being served a complimentary glass of wine and cheese, fruit platter!

Departure - Check in at the Reef Fleet Terminal from 7:30am, commence boarding at 8:00am, vessel departs Cairns at 8:30am.
This trip returns to Cairns at 5:00pm.

Day Two: Kuranda Scenic Train & Skyrail

A Skyrail coach will collect you from your Cairns Accommodation for a transfer to the charming Freshwater Station for your scenic rail journey to Kuranda – 'Village in the Rainforest’. 

This historical train will take you on an unforgettable journey winding over waterfalls and through hand carved tunnels while you listen to the informative onboard commentary.    

There is plenty of free time in Kuranda for you to explore the village.  The Heritage markets are open 7 days a week, giving you the chance to see the local arts and crafts and pick up a souvenir! 

The attractions are many and varied including Birdworld, The Butterfly Sanctuary and the Koala Gardens.  You could also enjoy a river cruise or enjoy lunch in one of the many cafes or restaurants in the village.      

At the scheduled time you will board Skyrail, the world's most beautiful rainforest experience gliding over the rainforest canopy.  There are two stops along the way with the opportunity to learn more about the wonders of the rainforest and its inhabitants, or to simply enjoy the spectacular views.

After arriving at Caravonica Lakes, your coach will transfer you back to your hotel.

Departure: Pickups commence around 7:45am and return back to your accommodation between 5pm.

Day Three: Daintree & Cape Trib Safari

You will be collected from your accommodation by a fully air-conditioned vehicle for a journey on one of the most renowned scenic coastal road in Australia.

Enjoy a brief tour of Port Douglas and Four Mile Beach before travelling onto the award winning Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary where you will observe up close rare & endangered Australia animals. There is also the opportunity to have your photo taken with a koala and pat a kangaroo.

The journey continues along the Captain Cook Highway to the majestic Daintree River where you will cross over the Daintree River on the cable ferry and enjoy breathtaking views of the rainforest coastline and scenic lookouts.

Lunch is at the Cape Trib Beach House Restaurant. Choose from the set menu of Fish, Steak or Vegetarian dishes cooked to your taste and served with a fresh garden salad, chips and home style baked bread along with a tropical fruit platter to finish.

Following lunch enjoy extended time to explore Cape Trib beach for a walk to the headland that provides magnificent views of where the 'rainforest literally meets the reef'.

Deep into the national park is The Marrdja Botanical boardwalk , one of the specially constructed rainforest and mangrove walks. Your guide will enlighten you to the secrets of the rainforest; learn about its foods, medicines and history during your guided walk.

Arriving back at the Daintree River enjoy a 1 hour river cruise. Learn about the mangroves that line the banks, and spot crocodiles, birds and other wildlife that inhabit the area. Following this you will have the opportunity to take in the spectacular views from the Rex Lookout on your journey home, before returning to your accommodation.

Departure: Pickups commence around 7am and return back to your accommodation between 6-6:30pm.
