During the day a reef video will be shown on their large drop down reef cinema audiovisual system.

HABA has exclusive access to over 10 different marine park moorings. Your day is not rigidly structured, so you will have more time to dive, snorkel, and relax.  The high ratio of crew to passenger provides an excellent personalised service with a maximum of 100 passengers and an average of 70.

HABA visit sites located on Tongue, Sisters, Opal, Chinaman, St Crispins and Agincourt Reefs. All of the sites are located close to the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef.  This ensures clear oceanic water to give the best in visibility and marine diversity.  The Skipper selects each site according to the weather and tidal conditions in order to give you the best possible visibility and comfort during your reef experience.

Your Day:

Courtesy coach transfer from your Cairns, Palm Cove or Port Douglas accommodation.

Coffee, tea and muffins are available onboard upon your arrival and during the Safety Briefing.

Departure for the Great Barrier Reef at 8:30 with little over an hour travel time.

The rest of the day is yours for Snorkelling, Diving or simply relaxing right on the Outer Reef.  All water sports create an appetite and a day on the Reef would not be the same without a delicious, fresh tropical buffet lunch.

Following lunch a Reef Brief will commence on the top deck during which the Marine Naturalist will explain to you the corals, fish and ecology of the Great Barrier Reef environment.

Haba then moves on to the second unique location where you carry on your water activity or simply relax on the spacious vessel.

The afternoon site brings with it the opportunity to participate in the guided Snorkel Tour where the information discussed in the Reef Brief is brought to life before your eyes.  A Glass Bottom Boat tour is also sheduled during the day (extra cost).

Following Afternoon Tea the boat departs the reef for arrival back in Port Douglas at approximately 4:30 pm.

Certified Diving:  All certified diving includes a dive guide.  You have the opportunity to complete up to 3 dives in a day.

Introductory Diving:  Introductory Dives are conducted with a maximum ratio of 4 students per instructor.  A souvenir introductory dive certificate is awarded to each successful diver.  Please note, some medical conditions including asthma and high blood pressure may prohibit scuba diving.  Please ask if you have any concerns.

Additional Costs:

  • Certified/Introductory Diving
  • Glass Bottom boat tours
  • High quality digital photos
  • Drinks and snacks from the bar
