Ferry Departures:

Depart Cairns -  8:30am; 10:30am; 1:00pm

Depart Green Island-  12:00pm; 2:30pm; 4:30pm

It is the only coral cay on the Great Barrier Reef with a rainforest growing on it, which is home to 126 native plant species, colourful birdlife, surrounded by magnificent coral gardens and is some 15 hectares (approx 37 acres) in size.

With the choice of three daily departures, this Green Island cruise is perfect for visitors with limited time, offering a half or full day experience. With a range of exciting optional activities, you can design your day at your own pace. You'll also have the choice of glass bottom boat coral viewing or snorkelling equipment.

You can spend from as little as 2 & 1/2 hours and up to 7 hours at Green Island, depending on the departure times that you select. We do need to book return times when making the reservation, however you can change your return times at a later time subject to availability.

Green Island is great for children, as they enjoy playing on the beach.  There are a few optional activities you might like to try on the island. 

There is Marineland Melanesia which is a Crocodile and marine life habit, along with a small museum also (this is an extra cost).  They have a crocodile feeding show, and also feed the turtles for you.  You can even have your photo taken holding a baby crocodile which the kids absolutely love! There is also an underwater observatory at the very end of the jetty at Green Island where they can see Nemo (the famous clown fish).

For an additional cost it is possible to arrange coach transfers from your Cairns Accommodation or Cairns Hotel or your Cairns Beaches Resort.
