Wildlife has been good with reptiles everyday this week, and also marsupials and a bonus Cassowary today. (DID YOU KNOW – the word Cassowary is derived from the Papuan word Kassuwari meaning “Horned Head” ).
This week we were fortunately to have filled our seven seater most days, keep this trip in mind for people who want a real rainforest encounter , but away from the usual touristy spots . We guarantee bigger & older trees but no crowds……. AND a smaller more personalized experience with a maximum of only 7 passengers
Wilderness Eco Safaris is a small group 4WD Safari which takes you genuinely off-road into the World Heritage Wet Tropics Rainforest. While there are many rainforest "4WD" tours to choose from, just about all of them follow each other up and back a main highway and do not actually go off-road, but mostly to exactly the same places as normal buses.
Our Safari has taken the option of going deeper into the same rainforest, but where genuine 4WD is required into the higher rugged mountain altitudes. Here we see no other tour vehicles or crowds at all, but an area known as having the most diverse ,ancient and largest of rainforest plants and trees in the world, and not seen by most regular tours (FACT).
So if you don't mind the big touristy crowds then you have a big choice of tours, if you want to something away from all others then consider WILDERNESS ECO SAFARIS.
