You will visit the following 5 locations in one day (depending on seasonal and weather conditions)
Josephine Falls:
Josephine Falls is a secluded freshwater swimming hole, hidden in the tropical rainforest. A series of small waterfalls flow into large pools surrounded by boulders. Rainforest trees hang over the water, keeping it cool and refreshing.You will take a short walk to a series of cascading waterfalls amidst the lush tropical rainforest. Take the plunge in the refreshing swimming hole (life vests are provided for children).
Johnstone River Crocodile Farm:
Picture perfect opportunity to catch a crocodile snap! You will also have the chance to handfeed wallabies and kangaroos and observe the majstic cassowary and the playful dingos.
NEW! Mamu Canopy Walkway:
After 15 years in the planning the Mamu Rainforest Canopy Walkway will open on Monday 18 August 2008. Mamu is the biggest project in the Wet Tropics since Skyrail. With its combination of a canopy walk high in the tree tops, an observation tower, viewing decks and cantilever, it brings you close to new unexplored spheres of the rainforest. Take in the exhilarating vistas of the Johnstone River gorge and amazing surrounding World Heritage landscapes.
Roscoe's Restaurant:
Enjoy excellent Tropical North Queensland style lunch, at Innisfail's Roscoe's Restaurant. This is the quintessential tropical frontier town.
Babinda Boulders:
Walk to the spectacular gorge and listen to the ancient Aboriginal legend about the creation of the Boulders. Snorkel and swim in a freshwater pool (masks and snorkels provided). Learn about the underwater world of freshwater fish, turtles and crustaceans. For the adventurous, a rope swing hangs from a branch of a tall tree and you can swing out into the deep pool.
