Your day begins as you travel south of Cairns through Gordonvale then onto the Tablelands via the Gillies Highway..

First stop is the Volcanic Crater, Lake Barrine. Enjoy a guided walk through the rainforest to the Ancient Twin Kauri Pines followed by morning tea and a cruise with full commentary on the tranquil waters of Lake Barrine. Learn about the local flora and the abundance of wildlife.

Following Lake Barrine you will visit the famous giant Curtain Fig Tree one of the largest strangler figs in the world.

Tropical rainforests and volcanic formations dominate the Atherton Tablelands. Continue past the Malanda Falls and stop at the spectacular Millaa Millaa Falls. One of the prettiest falls on the waterfalls circuit. Remember to bring your camera. It is one of the most photographed images in the Wet Tropics.

After Millaa Millaa lookout you will pass Windy Hill turbine wind farm and onto Woodleigh Cattle Station for an old fashioned outback BBQ lunch and guided tour of the pioneer homestead with the family of the original settlers.

After lunch visit Halloran's Hill Lookout which offers panoramic views over farmlands and the Seven Sisters volcanic landscape.

Following this you will visit Mt Uncle Distillery with a tour of this agricultural farm, sampling its local produce and liqueurs, before journeying back to Cairns via Kuranda Range.
